Sponsored Walk 2

Hello Again
This month I must give you a run down of my walk from Prestatyn to Chepstow, following the Offa’s Dyke path. As I feared in the last edition the weather was bad and sometimes even worse than that, but despite being wet for much of the time it was a great experience.
I was surprised to meet people who had travelled from all over the world to walk Offa’s Dyke. It is a challenging route that certainly showed me my limits; prior to leaving I thought that it may be possible to complete the route in six days, unfortunately, even if I hadn’t been carrying all my equipment and food, I now think eight days would be ambitious. In the end I completed the journey in ten days, the recommended time being twelve to fourteen days.

I have started to collect the sponsorship money for the Macmillan Cancer Support and at present the amount collected is £311.95 but there is a little more still to come in. The sponsorship for the Amala trust is yet to be collected and I’ll let you know about that next month.
Finally I would like to tell you about a blog that I will now be posting on my web site. Currently I am working on an article that will hopefully shed some light on what you can expect to encounter when purchasing a memorial, from cemetery regulations to types and styles of memorials. In future posts, I will be explaining the merits of different materials and letter styles and the environmental impact of memorials.
Thanks again.
